Travelling from Winchester for Your C1 Training
Your practical C1 training takes place in the Guildford area. Students travelling from Winchester and the surrounding Hampshire area will therefore need to travel to us for their practical training and tests.
All tuition is 1-to-1, so you get dedicated driving time with Matt throughout your training. Where possible, training can be arranged over consecutive days for students travelling from Winchester. This is subject to DVSA test availability.
Practical Training for Your C1 Licence
Your training is tailored to your driving experience and confidence. You’ll develop the vehicle control, observation, positioning and hazard-awareness skills needed when driving a larger vehicle.
Matt has extensive experience helping student paramedics prepare for their C1 licence. This includes students travelling from Winchester and other parts of Hampshire.

C1 Practical Test Preparation
Your training prepares you for both parts of the practical C1 test:
- Module 3a – Reversing: preparation for the off-road reversing exercise.
- Module 3b – On-road driving: practical preparation covering vehicle control, observation, positioning and hazard awareness.
Training is carried out in an automatic Mercedes Sprinter. If you already hold a manual car licence, passing your C1 test in an automatic will still give you manual C1 entitlement.
